Article by Alex Goff | Originally published at goffrugbyreport.com The Indigenous Warriors select team will be hosting the Indigenous Australia Rugby Invitational side at a very special international game on September 26 in Denver. These two teams have met before, in 2015 in Gallup, NM, and this is the second iteration of a plan to celebrate the culture of indigenous peoples through rugby. The Indigenous Warriors draw mostly from Native American tribes, while the Australian team is, naturally, drawn from the people who have lived on that continent for thousands of years. While the coaching staff has basically picked its roster for the Warriors team, there is still a chance for players to get a look, especially if they play in the front row. Contact coach Timaris Montano at [email protected]. The game will be held at 6pm September 26 at the University of Denver. Thank you to Tocabe - An American Indian Eatery, for sponsoring this event and providing meals to the players post-match.
