"Touch rugby refers to games derived from rugby football in which players do not tackle each other in the traditional, highly physical way, but instead touch their opponents using their hands on any part of the body, clothing, or the ball.
A formal, competitive variety, known as Touch, developed from rugby league and now exists as a sport in its own right. In addition, touch rugby games are played as training activities for rugby league and rugby union; as safer variants of rugby, particularly in schools and junior clubs, and as an informal social sport."
Unlike the contact version of rugby, touch allows men and women to play rugby together at the same time. No touch rugby group is formally associated with Rocky Mountain Rugby. Players elect to participate at their own risk.

Join the inaugural season of Boulder's first Indoor Touch Rugby League. All skill levels and ages are welcome (21 years+) to join this exciting, fast-paced, and very social league that features all the fun without the heavy hits. Teams will be co-ed, 6 v 6, and made to support new-comers and experienced players alike. Games will take place on Friday nights starting at 6pm and the bar will be open for fans and after-game camaraderie. All players will sign up as individuals and be placed on teams by the Boulder Rugby Club. Registration is $60 per player for this 6-week session that starts on Friday, January 9th.
