2019 Rocky Mountain Rugby Match Administator Training Course(s)

In order to continue elevating the quality of rugby administered each week in the Rocky Mountains, the Rocky Mountain Rugby GU passed a resolution to sponsor a Match Administrator program, which will be piloted in the Men's Premiership and Men's Championship competitions. Funding for this program will come from existing Men's Club player dues, and Match Administrators will be paid a $40 stipend per full XVs match assigned and worked.

If you are interested in earning a little extra cash, or would like to get involved in rugby administration, please let Rocky Mountain Rugby know by signing up for a training course today. This course provides attendees certification as a Match Administrator, which is a paid position within select Rocky Mountain Rugby competitions. Training courses will take place in the Denver area and online.

The August 2019 course will be held following the August 2019 Club Administrator course.

Time/Date: Sunday, August 4, 2019: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Location: The course for Sunday, August 4, 2019 will be held at 6300 S. Syracuse Way, Englewood, CO, 80111.

About the Match Administration Program
Match Administrators are neutral officials who attend matches on behalf of Rocky Mountain Rugby. For their representation, match administrators receive a stipend, and are expected to possess the following responsibilities:
-Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to match kickoff to check player IDs and introduce your role to the coaches
-Wear your assigned RMR match polo
-Complete the running score form for each match
-Complete the player/movement substitution form for each match
-Witness any disciplinary action taken by the match official(s) in the assigned game
-Neutrally observe team behavior
-Assist with the control of substitutions onto the field, if requested by the match official(s)
-Gather signature of the match official(s) to confirm your records
-Verify the match data entered by teams into the USA Rugby Competition Management System (usarugbystats.com) after match concludes
-Note other items as requested by RMR officials (presence of scoreboard, etc.)

All assigned RMR Match Administrators will receive an official Rocky Mountain Rugby polo free of charge, as well as a payment of $40 per match worked. Match Administrators who must travel over 60 miles for an assignment will also be eligible for a travel stipend. Assigned administrators must not possess an active affiliation with any club participating in a match they are assigned to.
