The Denver Barbarians D4 defeated Marauders Rugby and the Colorado Springs Grizzlies D4 to capture the 2019 Rocky Mountain Rugby Men's Challenge League Championship at Flanagan Park in Colorado Springs. Bolstered by a squad that stressed wit and tempo, the boys in green defeated the Grizzlies 29-3 and the Marauders 57-35 to win the three-team round-robin event.
The win marked the second consecutive victory for the Barbarians' reserve side in the competition. Launched in the 2015-2016 season, the Rocky Mountain Rugby Men's Challenge League is a Division IV-level competition designed to foster the development of new clubs as well as depth for existing clubs. In 2018-2019, the competition had 12 active teams participating.
